April is recognized as National Stress Awareness Month to bring attention to the negative impact of stress. Managing stress is an essential component of a healthy lifestyle. Knowing how to manage stress can improve mental and physical well-being as well as minimize exacerbation of health-related issues.
Screening for Depression: PHQ9**
The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) is a widely used self-report tool for identifying depression. It consists of nine questions that align with the diagnostic criteria for major depressive disorder. The PHQ-9 helps healthcare providers assess the severity of depressive symptoms and make informed decisions about treatment.
